DAV Public School, Titilagarh embodies the aspirations of the local community to provide quality education to its children. The school is directly managed by the DAV College Trust and Management Society, New Delhi, and functions with the goodwill and cooperation of the local intelligentsia under the able leadership of a devoted Principal and a dedicated team of educators.

Established in 1990, DAV Public School, Titilagarh has always been regarded as the people’s own institution. It continually seeks the cooperation, support, and best wishes of the citizens of Titilagarh to grow as a national asset committed to the service of the country.

SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT

This DAV school provides a congenial environment for all round development of the whole personality and its integration with the society, particularly in reference to the Indian context. Positive ideas are inculcated in students as regards to SDGs, personal hygiene, neatness of uniform, cleanliness of surroundings, graceful manners, obedience and discipline. To achieve high academic standards, personal attention is given to each child. Highly motivated and dedicated team of teachers plays the role model for the children. Individual care, personalized coaching and regular efforts have woven a very vibrant and inspiring environment.

Learning is a joy here as teachers made their lessons very interesting by following various methods of teaching, via Demonstration, Experimentation, Project work, Home Assignment, Play-way, Micro-teaching, Structure method, Indirect observation cum discussion method etc. Education is child centered here, and singing, mimicry, playing, dramatization echo in the campus.

SCHOOL ASSEMBLY

To inculcate moral values among students, each working day begins with a morning assembly. The assembly includes the recitation of Vedic mantras, devotional hymns, patriotic songs, and the Thought for the Day. Emphasis is laid on the universal ideals and internal values of Indian culture. Short talks on a wide range of topics and important current events are delivered by both students and teachers. Students also present the daily news to enhance awareness of national and global affairs. As per a scheduled rotation, a teacher addresses the gathering each day, sharing inspiring thoughts and value-based messages. The assembly concludes with the singing of the State Anthem, the National Anthem, and the DAV Anthem, reinforcing a sense of unity, discipline, and national pride.

MORAL EDUCATION

Hawan is performed on every Saturday and Dharam Shiksha is prescribed to educate the students in moral values. Vedic Initiation Camps are held once a year.

SPORTS AND CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

House System and Inter-House Competitions

To foster a spirit of healthy competition, leadership, and teamwork, most school activities are conducted through a well-structured House system. Regular Inter-House competitions are organized, primarily on Saturdays, providing students with ample opportunities to showcase their talents and sportsmanship. Students are encouraged and guided to participate in DAV National Sports events, with opportunities to compete at the Cluster, Zonal, and National levels, thereby nurturing excellence and confidence at every stage.

With the basic objective in mind, that a cordial support of parents, teachers & learners, which is barely necessary for the holistic growth of a child, PTM is organized on every Saturday as per the given schedule.

MONTHLY CALENDAR & ANNUAL CALENDAR

Formulating a planned vision towards perfection “The Monthly Calendar” and “The Annual Calendar” is a replica of our school activities carrying all necessary information regarding the school and teaching learning process. It provides all information about our academic process, sports and games and extracurricular activities in contest to the present changes of State & CBSE Curriculum.

STUDENTS’ CLUBS

For the holistic and harmonious development of students, several student clubs function actively in the school, including the Eco Club, Sports Club, Literary Club (English, Hindi, Odia & Sanskrit), Heritage Club, Art & Craft Club, Science & Tech Club, Cultural Club, Health & Sanitation Club, Quiz Club, and School Safety Club.

Students are encouraged to choose clubs according to their interests; however, to ensure all-round development, every student is given the opportunity to participate in all clubs on a rotational basis. This approach helps students acquire diverse skills and become versatile, confident learners.

COUNSELING AT THE DOOR STEP

Keeping in mind teaching-learning is a tri-polar process the school conducts counseling programs at parent’s door step, in which different teacher counselors go to door steps to interact with the family members regarding strength and weakness of their children.

LEARNING BEYOND THE CLASSROOM

Keeping in mind learning takes place everywhere, as per the annual planner school conducts several activities throughout the session such as talk show, seminars, exhibitions etc to make teaching-learning living.

LEARNING BY DOING

Our school provides well equipped laboratory facilities for the students from Vith class onwards for the subject like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science etc. It helps in educating learners in a practical and learning by doing.

ORIENTATION PROGRAMMES

Our school teachers attend different teacher’s training programs conducted by Regional Training Centre under the able guidance of DAV CAE (Centre for Academic Excellence) New Delhi in order to upgrade their confidence level, and develop effective workforce. It is conducted in phases in every year for different level of teachers.

TRANSPORTATION

The school provides safe and adequate transportation facilities for students residing within a 30 km radius. Due emphasis is given to safety and discipline during transit. Each bus is accompanied by a bus attendant to look after the children during the journey, ensuring their security and well-being. The transportation system is managed efficiently to provide a comfortable and reliable commuting experience for students.

SCHOOL FEE DEPOSIT

School fees are paid every three months. Fees for April–June are paid in April, July–September in July, October–December in October, and January–March in January. A late fee of ₹50 per month will be charged. The sessional fee for the next class is to be paid from 1st to 10th April. Payment can be made offline or online through cash, cheque, PDS, or net banking.

SCHOOL BOOK SECTION

It is suggested to procure books from the school book section on the date and time notified for the purpose i.e. normally at the beginning of the academic section. However the notebooks may be purchased from the school or arranged by the parents.

ADOPTATION SYSTEM

Just like five fingers of a hand are not of same length similarly all the students are not equal on the ground of IQ, behavior etc. Therefore in our school the slow learners are adapted by different experienced teachers who take special interest for the all round development of those children.

KG PARK

For the safe recreation and enjoyment we have KG Park in which different playing structure like- swing, see-saw etc are fitted. Pre-primary teachers conduct various activity classes here also along with music.

EXPECTATIONS FROM OUR BELOVED STUDENTS

  • Students should be punctual & reach school before the bell.
  • All the students must possess school diary, text-books, note books, stationery etc.
  • Application for leave must be submitted a day in advance. It must be countersigned by the parent/guardian.
  • Students must come in school uniform.
  • Students are not allowed to leave the school during working hour unless the parents/guardians whose signature are on the admission forms and the school diary come in person.
  • School identity cards must be with the students on all working days.
  • Students should be regular in attendance.
  • The school reserves the right to take stern action even to strike off the name of students from the school rolls who are found guilty of misconduct.
  • Students must be respectful towards teachers, staffs, parents and fellow students all times.
  • Students should speak politely and use decent language within the school campus.
  • Students should uphold the dignity & reputation of the school both inside & outside the school.

AREAS NEED CO-OPERATION FROM PARENTS

  • Use the school diary as a means of communication with the class teacher and sign in the diary on daily basis in the space provided after checking the Home Work of your ward.
  • Try to respond the teacher’s remarks, if any.
  • Sign the test copies/papers as and when sent home. Collect the progress report from the class teacher personally.
  • See that your ward has all the text books, items of stationery, craft materials etc. right in the beginning of the session.
  • Send the children regularly and punctually to school. No absence will be permitted without a leave application.
  • Both the parents must attend the Parent-Teacher Meet as per schedule.
  • Pay the fees as per schedule at the fee counter in the campus or by online method.
  • Intimate the school in case of change in address, telephone number.
  • Ensure that your ward comes to the school in proper uniform with polished shoes, trimmed hair and clean nails.
  • Help in the developmental work of the School whenever necessary.
  • Guide your ward to develop values such as honesty, respect, self discipline and responsibility in both school & public places.
  • Respect School rules, policies and disciplinary decisions taken in the interest of students.
  • Avoid sending valuables, electronic gadgets or access money with your wards to school.
